Macbeth Presentation Reflection

The section of the story i presented is act 4.2 and 4.3. In the section lady Macduff finds out Macduff has left and doesn't know why. She then is met my hit men hired by Macbeth to kill Macduffs family. Macduff decides he need to kill Mcduff's family because the witches told him how to keep his power and he believed that my killing macduffs son he would be unstoppable. The question How far is one willing to  "go" to get what they desire most is shown when Macbeth hires a hit men to kill macduffs family. This insures his power in not in jeopardy.  "Each corporal agent to this terrible feat away, and mock the time with fairest show" (I,Vii, 89-90) are words of Macbeth explaining how he know it was wrong to kill Duncan but was willing to kill him in order to get what he desired most. The section also shows Macbeth being corrupted by power. In the beginning of the story Macbeth a noble soldier but now that he has received the crow and power, he will stop at nothing to keep it even if he has to harm another.

While working on this project i learned that working on a project can be both difficult and rewarding. My group had a difficult time agreeing on ideas, but more than anything planning times to work on our project. I found it was difficult having three active people in a group, as there were very few days that we were all free. Towards the end of the project i found the easiest way to work around this project was to assign different work to different people. This helped us get work done without the company of my group members.
Overall, something important i have learned by doing this project is that it is very important to listen and consider all ideas by your other group members. By not taking their ideas into consideration your take away their voice int he project and they may not share their future ideas.
Something that i notices i need to work on is staying patient even when someone doesn't go the way you planned. This is because by getting annoyed and frustrated your work in not the highest quality and it is less fun for you and your group members.
Overall i am proud of my group ability to work through our original problems and produce what i think is a good final product. If i had to divide a pie of the work of my group i would say Jake and me did 30% each and Emma did 40 % because she had to arrange all the pictures into a video.

Section 4.2 and 4.3

The section i chose of the story is section 4.2 and 4.3. In the section lady Macduff finds out Macduff has left and doesn't know why. She then is met my hit men hired by Macbeth to kill macduffs family. Macduff decides he need to kill mcduffs family because the witches told him how to keep his power and he believed that my killing macduffs son he would be unstoppable. The section shows Macbeth being currupted by power. It the beginning of the story macbeth a noble soldier but now that he has received the crow and power he will stop at nothing to keep it even if he has to harm another. This section also shows how far Macbeth is willing to "go" to get what he desires most. Macbeth wants the power of being king more than anything else in the world. He believes that in order to achieve his goal he must have Macduff's family killed.

comment to conflicting...

ILike how you have found examples in the first act to address this question. You have also understood this queston by connectiong it to everday life. I would like to see you further develop your answer by bringing in actual text support to show wher eyou see M being loyal to the king and then how he is torn and decides to be loyal to his wife and do as she bids. Or is also wha the wishes too do you think-what weighs more for him?

Macbeth

Macbeth- Sparknotes

How do we deal with conflicting elements within our personalities?

Everyone deals with conflicting elements within their personalities. Macbeth experiences conflicts such as loyalty to the king verses the gaining of power. He also struggles with loyalty to his wife verses doing the right thing. Macbeth's decision's to give in to his wife's pressure and kill the king to achieve power are similar to the choices that many people make today. For example if a member of Parliament voted to please his prime minister instead of the people in order to reach higher position, he or she would be giving in to the desire for power rather than serving his electors. likewise, If a teenager acts to impress their friends even though they know their actions are wrong, they are giving in to a desire for popularity rather than obeying their Morals. When people deal with conflicts in such a way that they put the interests of others before themselves we applaud them and appreciate their actions.

I like how you took the feedback and added a connection to your response, putting some more insight into your writing. I would still like to see some more textual evidence brought in to help support what you are saying. :)

Picture representing "Just Lather, That's All"

Response to just Lather, that's all

The story is about he hair dresser who is put in a situation where he must decide if he should kill the military leader. the question i chose was 'How do our personal experiences shape our views of others?" This question relates to this story because it talks about the reasons why the hair dresser is secretly a rebel. H has seen the people that have died because of the military and in his opinion life would be much simpler without them. His other experiences of being a hair dresser show him he much take pride in his work and do the best job possible no matter who's hair he is cutting. A passage from the story is "A blade like this doesn't fail. It is my best. But i don't want to be a murderer, no sir. You came for a shave and i perform my work honorably. This shows how important his job is to him. It also shows that he values his job and doesn't want to be a murderer.

Brother dear

In the story “Brother Dear” written by Bernice Friesen Greg young can trying to find her own way in life. He comes from a family who are not very supportive of him choices. Greg decides he doesn’t want to go to university and decided to go plant trees. Greg’s dad is very against Greg’s decision and tries to force him to go to university. Greg’s dad believes that he must go to university in order to be successful as taught by his parents. Greg has other thought. To me Greg seems like someone who cares deeply about the environment and who is trying to find a different journey in life that his dad was hoping for. Greg is a very independent person and will not take no for an answer.
